In 2017 Hurricane Maria gave it little more than a power wash, followed by lucrative FEMA rentals that provided the opportunity for new appliances, along with a sparkling new paint job in an array of tropical colors that the previous owner labeled "genius."
The two-bedroom, two and a half bath duplex is the only one in the entire 83-unit complex with three entrances. They include a ground floor door at the end of the walkway leading from the parking lot, one from the primary bedroom suite to a backyard patio, and a main entrance from the breezy walkway on the second floor.

Questa Verde, which has one of the best condo pools on the island, is extremely well managed, with some of the lowest condo fees on St. Croix. The complex, a mile by the way the crow flies from downtown Christiansted, is remarkably quiet, the loudest sounds frequently being the soothing coos of the mourning doves in nearby trees. (Your human neighbors, friendly and caring, are there - you just rarely hear them).
